MANDATORY Meeting Next week!

We will be having our next meeting next Tuesday! It will be MANDATORY for all of you who signed up for the Build Day on April 6. If you do not attend or email us beforehand if you can’t make it, you will be removed from the list so someone on the wait list will be able to go. If you aren’t sure if you’re on the list or wait list, feel free to email us and we’ll let you know!

At our meeting, we will have a homeowner who has gone through the Habitat process speak to us about their experiences and how Habitat has helped them. We will also be talking more about volunteering as well as information for the build day!

At our meeting we talked about ideas for the next meeting. We will be having a Habitat homeowner talk to us about their Habitat experience and their struggles prior.

We will also have information about the build day so it will be mandatory if you want to do the build day!

Thanks to everyone who came to the meeting today!

We also covered…

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Our biggest event at the moment is a group build day where 15 CU students will be able to get their own build day on April 6. We have 14 people signed up but if you’re interested in this, please let us know and we’ll put you on a wait-list!
  • There are also opportunities at the ReStore! The ReStore sells new and gently used home items for very cheap and the proceeds go directly to building homes in our community. They are always looking for volunteers!

Our goal this semester is to get more members and get the momentum going. Our job as a Campus Chapter is to advocate, fundraise, build, and educate so we would love some feedback on what events we could do this semester to gain members as well as help out Habitat!

The next meeting will probably be in a few weeks, hopefully before the next set of exams for everyone. We’ll send out more info as that approaches!

Welcome Back!

Now that school is underway, it’s time to get back into Habitat! This semester, we’ll be having meetings every other Wednesday at 7pm, the location is TBA. Our first meeting will hopefully be September 12th.

Dodgeball Tournament Fundraiser!

Hey everyone!

We will be having out Dodgeball Tournament on April 13!

If you’d like to sign up, just email us your team’s name, members’ names, and please make sure each person gives us $5 dollars before the event! Each team can have six members so it’s $30 total. This money goes directly to Habitat and goes towards our build days. Spread the word about the tournament and get your friends together to start a team. We’ll be talking more about this at the meeting so you can start signing up then!





Upcoming Fundraisers and Events

Act, Speak, Build Week: We’ll be spreading the word about Habitat For Humanity by making the CU campus aware of the frightening facts about poverty housing around Boulder, the United States, and the world. We’ll be setting up signs on Norlin quad and talking to students about Habitat. If you’d like to help us out, please let us know!

Dodgeball Tournament: Our big fundraiser this semester is going to be a dodgeball tournament! We’re still planning it but it will be at the beginning of or mid-April. If you’re interested in being a part of it or helping us out with making it happen, let us know! We’ll be needing lots of help!





St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser- CANCELLED
